Sally has a background in specialty coffee, but mostly inspired by the mindful tradition of sourcing, blending and serving Indian chai. Soul Chai was born from the desire to create a sustainability-focused method suited for the 4th wave cafes. Each small batch of Soul is mindful of balance, waste reduction, shelf-life and supporting gorgeous latte art.
Big production chai concentrates are waste-heavy and often so sugary they become overshadowed by the carefully dialed-in offerings of a typical chai. Soul Chai's made to cup method keeps it accessible to plant easters as well as those who prefer soul-warming to sweet.
As Sally's Pakistani upbringing taught her, that Chai is an important daily ritual to so many. The intricate history and hands involved in the sourcing of chai is fully deserving of many layers of thought, homage and respect.
