There is something about Spring this year that just hits differently. I have way more focus on all the new greens popping up, as this Spring it feels as if it is the fresh start that we all have been waiting for, for over two years. I’ve rounded up all of my favorites from the past few months for a Spring round up. From beauty, home decor, and our go to snacks.
Ever since getting my earrings pierced back in October (well repierced since I was 5 years old) I was hooked and two months later went and got my second hole done. I am now always on the hunt for solid gold earrings, that I can wear everyday, allday. I picked up these in the small 15mm size and they are the perfect size for a bit of a chunkier hoop look. The quality of these are stunning and a great price for solid 14k gold. Love love, and an amazing Canadian women owned brand.
One of my recent obsessions is modern pantry items. When I came across Graza for the first time, I randomly stumbled upon them a few days before their launch. I knew I needed to bring them into the showroom. Seriously though, one of my biggest pet peeves about my current olive oil (hola costco) is the heavy glass bottle. I tried these last week for the first time, and boy I was hooked. The drizzle is awesome for salads, hummus, and basking my bread in it. The sizzle I tell you is life changing when cooking, you can evenly distribute the olive oil in your pan for an even sizzle throughout for whatever dish you are cooking. You can find these two in our showroom in person and only May 12th!
I love a good gold layering necklace and the Paris chain from Sunday Club is so beautiful. It’s a classic that I can wear alone or layer with other necklaces. It’s a great length and another Canadian women owned business!
Okay for the launch dinner at our new space I needed a cake that would wow. My friend Lexi from Bitesbylex got one of these cakes for her one year anniversary and it was beyond adorable but tasted amazing. You have to check them out and all their unreal designs and customization. We went with the berry and vanilla cake, and it did not disappoint.
I have been on the hunt for a calacatta viola marble side table for a while for the showroom, and let me tell you they are a bit tricky to shop for. I found this amazing Etsy shop, where all their marble pieces are all handmade in Vagli Sopra, Italy in a family run shop. They will show you the marble pieces if you are wanting to see exactly what the marble looks like. Mine arrived about two weeks ago, and the veining on it is to die for. I’ve done the research and scoured the internet, so this little shop in Italy is definitely the best price for the best marble I could find!
With the warmer days around the corner, I am always on the hunt for those everyday summer staples. When I saw these shorts styled on Golden August the Label I was like yup need those, because I will live in them all summer. They are high waisted, 100% linen and made in Vancouver! I went with the color, sand and I cannot wait to get so much use of these linen shorts. Honestly I will probably end up buying them in multiple colors since I know I will living in them this summer.
Since September last year my go- to drink turned quickly into oat milk chai latte. I love the cozyness and spiciness of chai tea. I found this women owned shop where all the chai tea is made in Portland! I knew I had to try it and bring it into our showroom. Let me tell you, it does not disappoint. One thing that I’ve always hated about other chai teas, is how artificial they taste or how much sugar is pumped into the concentrate. This is powder form, and tastes absolutely delicious. Available in person right now in our showroom and online on May 12th.
Fertilizing my plants at home all year round has been on my mind for a while, and I was really on the hunt for a natural fertilizer that I could use year round. I came across Kelpy on instagram and knew I had to try it out on my plants and it did not disappoint! We are now carrying Kelpy in our showroom and I know you will love it as much as I do!
I am always on the hunt for a good dry shampoo. I’ve tried it all from Kevin Murphy, Dry Bar, Living Proof and more. I saw Davines came out with a new one this past month and I have been loving their products for over a year now. Guys, their new dry shampoo smells heavenly and is truly invisible.
I have been converted to Agolde! Honestly I put off trying on agolde jeans for a long time, as they seemed stiff and really uncomfortable. I like to sit down and would love for my jeans to have a bit of give and hug my curves. I tried to Nico jeans in embark and they are my favorite pair of jeans I have ever owned. I do find they do stretch out and I do put them in the dryer to bring them back to their original size. On my next pair I am going to size down 1-2 sizes.
These converse are designed from the original 1970 design. What I love about these is once they are broken in they are very comfy, the rubber is not stark white, it’s more of an off white so I find these don’t get dirty fast like my other white sneakers and they seem to go with everything.
